On This Date-Matthew Telfer

On October 1, 1908 the first Model T car was introduced into society. This, of course, led to the production of millions of cars and the transformation of the transportation industry. Henry Ford, still to this day, does not receive enough credit for his accomplishments. To say it was a good milestone would be an understatement. It's an event that still effects our everyday lives in a major way.
Now Ford did not create the first car, but he was the first to mass produce it. He created an assembly line method to manufacture them efficiently. There are cars located all over the world. You can find a car on any continent on Earth because of Henry Ford's achievement. When my mom gave me her 2003 Toyota Highlander, it wasn't just a car I was getting. I was getting a piece of technology that's been refined for almost 100 years. I'm confident in saying that every human being that has ever ridden in a car, has appreciated the experience.
Even though Ford did not create the car, the invention of the Model T will forever be remembered. The mass production of automobiles has made it possible so that virtually every American that's interested in buying an automobile, can get one.
