TV is an excellent waste of time. No one can argue with that. However TV can also be a good form of entertainment and is the most common form of entertainment nationwide. Every household has a television. I like to watch television for sports events, especially Kentucky athletic events, as well as for some of my favorite shows like the office or modern family. I think that commercial provide a very convenient delivery system for advertiser's and if used correctly, can influence the masses.
I have no problem with the Emmys being so popular, but i am a math and science guy and i believe that the nobel peace prize is a very big deal and should receive much more attention than it does.
