Flying Turkeys - Rachel Bragg

For me, Thanksgiving is never bad, but it definitely isn't my favorite event of the year. I have a very small amount of immediate family that is close enough to visit for thanksgiving. My family is very spread out, my mom has family in Alabama and Wisconsin, and most of my dad's family is in Florida. So on the day of thanksgiving, I was just me, my parents, my sister and my Mom's parents, who are divorced. It was fine, my mom and I spent the morning cooking and watching the parade, then we all ate, slept a bit, and did a little shopping. Then on Saturday, we drove 4 hours to western Kentucky where my dad's mom and sister live, his dad lives in Florida. My cousins are great, they are 4 and 8 years old little blonde boys and I love them a lot. My thanksgiving plans are usually quite simple, nothing crazy, but I still enjoy it every year.

On a side note, I mentioned in an earlier post that I was getting my wisdom teeth out the Tuesday before thanksgiving, which ended up being rather disappointing. I didn't do or say anything funny or strange, I just slept a lot. I also remember most of what happened that day, which I hear isn't normal. I remember waking up, taking the $11 pill they gave me to take before I arrived, driving to the place, and sitting down in the chair while they put the laughing gas thing on my face and the IV in my arm (which hurt quite a lot). Afterwards I woke up, the nurse asked me if I had a dog which I felt was a strange question considering I just had my teeth ripped out of my mouth. But on the way home, all I did was tell my mom about what she asked me then fall asleep listening to one direction. I slept all day, but woke up around 4 pm, when my best friend brought me a milk shake, I also made her give me a hug (she hates hugs). It was quite a normal day, no internet worthy actions. Disappointing.
