According to a recent study, 4 out of 5 Harvard engineering students use Calculus and physics in their day-to-day life. And they're smart, so obviously its essential to everyone.
I'm also thankful that the education system doesn't waste their time on teaching us crap like how to pay bills, apply for college, write a check, raise children in the future, stuff like that. I'll never need to know how to do any of that, like why would any of that be remotely important? Not sure, so thank goodness we don't spend time over that junk.
Though we fail tests in the hard classes with math and science, it's totally worth it in the end because I'm learning information important to me. Our GPA's lower in our junior year because this essential-to-our-everyday-lives stuff is hard to grasp, but it's okay because college accepts everyone and is extremely cheap.
I'm proud to say that I know how to graph the cosine of x. I will use this going forward in life. High school, you have really done us well.
