Flying Turkeys: morgan lakofka

Thanksgiving marks the start of the holiday season for our family. Each year the day before thanksgiving, we put up the Christmas tree and the Christmas lights outside. Our thanksgiving is extremely traditional and is a typical American holiday. Each year we get up early to watch the parade then the cooking begins. My mom, grandma and I cook while my grandpa and brother watch football. We have the traditional dishes, the turkey, the mashed potatoes, the stuffing, and my mom makes a special dessert each year, strawberry pretzel jello. It’s my absolute favorite. We have an early dinner usually around 5, then have some pie and got to bed pretty early, after a game of cards. Even though our thanksgiving is so traditional, it’s still fun to sit back and relax with my family and eat a pretty darn good meal. I don’t think I’ve ever really had a strange thanksgiving, the holiday season is just a nice time to relax and catch up with family.
